Library Events

Learn Scratch or Python programming for free, in a community-wide event! Students of any age are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. Students will create a simple, fun, beginner-level project or game that will get them started on their coding journey! Sessions will be taught by experienced high school programmers from ROC Code!

If you have any programming experience in Scratch or Python, and would like to earn community service over the summer, you are welcome to sign up to teach at one or more of these events! Each session will be about 1.5 hours long, and you would lead a group of 5-10 kids through either a Scratch or Python game tutorial (which we will provide for you). Sign up form below, and will list out the dates of these events, and you can sign up for as many or as few as you'd like! Make sure you are comfortable with the material and skills covered in the tutorial(s) before signing up (also found below).
